The holiday season, Christmas and New Year is a time to meet family and friends a time to give yourself the break, a good holiday. It is true that over 1.4 million drivers could be stranded and so its time to take a peak an review car insurance and road –side assistance.
Before you take off on the road it is time for you to review car insurance and check whether your policy is valid and in order and you are covered. You need to also verify if you have your road-side assistance plan valid or just contact your friend or family member who has an open plan and has not used it so that you can call AAA of the road side assistance company, incase you are stranded on the road.
What are common causes of stranded vehicles, would this be covered under auto insurance?
As per the AAA the main cause of vehicles being stranded are batteries issues which is expected in more than 90,000 cars. Batteries might have an issue because of extreme cold conditions. It might be a good idea to get a self-battery charger which is available and you do not need another vehicle also.
The second big reason are flat tires and car struck in snow or mud.
Of course one of the silly causes is a set of keys locked inside cars.
This is when if you have made arrangements for the roadside assistance plans like AAA or CA you would think of them being the Santa Claus for you.
Of course, this is not included under auto insurance. If you review car insurance policy you will see that wear and tear or maintenance is not covered.
Easy ways to avoid being stranded or getting involved in an auto accident , so you need not review car insurance on a holiday
You can easily avoid the time waste and the car trouble. This might also save you thousands of dollars down the road if you are able to avoid a car accident since your auto insurance will not rise and you need not review car insurance on a holiday.
It is recommended that you get the car inspected, checked and complete the maintenance before the holidays.
Get yourself the anti freeze which will help you to have clear visibility.
Tires can be checked for the pressure, put in the extra tire in your car and get the pressure for the same also checked. Motorists should never reduce tire pressure in an attempt to increase traction on snow and ice. This does not work, and when the roads dry out it can cause excessive tire wear and vehicle handling problems.
Compare auto insurance quotes or review car insurance after you had a good time with the family and when it is time to get down to business, even the insurance companies are on holidays.
